Meets are in Teal |
Invitationals are in yellow
We have a lot of new swimmers so I want to take a minute and
explain the differences between the meets.
Dual and Senior Meets
are only open to clubs like ours that are in the M.C.D.R. (McDonalds league
of Rochester).
Dual meets
are for ages 12@U. Your swimmer is required to do 2 of the 4 scheduled meets
to swim in Championships on March 3-4th. Each swimmer is allowed 2
individual events and 2 relays. All events are chosen by the coaches.
Senior meets
are for age 13@O. Your swimmer is required to do 2 of the 4 scheduled or 1
meet and volunteer at 1 dual meet. There are two formats (attached)
used for senior meets. Each swimmer is allowed 3 events, no relays. All
events are chosen by the coaches.
District meets
are open to all of the teams in the Niagara District. They have
designated cut times for each event. Your swimmer must have the cut time or
faster in order to compete. Ex. gold/silver cut times.
At the District meeting on 10/01/06, it was announced that
the gold and silver times were going to be made faster, or harder to
achieve. This will be a gradual change over the next three years. They are
trying to come more in line with USA swimming motivational times. Moving
silver closer to ‘BB’ times and gold closer to ‘A’ times.
Invitationals
are open to all teams. Most are designated G/S/B, meaning they are open to
all ‘times’.
We will let you know when the entries are due for all the
meets, and how to enter. All of the District meets and Invitationals can be
viewed on the district web site

Thank you,
